Delete your Kanvio account
Kanvio is an augmented-reality app by Korrelated, LLC. You can permanently delete your Kanvio account and everything in it from this page — you don't need the app installed, and there's nothing to fill in.
Delete your account here
Sign in with the same provider you signed up with. That sign-in is how we know the account is yours — it's the only proof we accept, and it's why this page asks for no email address, handle, or any other detail.
Sign in to the account you want deleted
Use whichever you originally signed up with. If you created your account on an iPhone you most likely used Apple; on Android it's always Google. Signing in with the other one won't find your account — and won't delete anything.
Using Hide My Email? Sign in with Apple as usual. Apple identifies you without you ever typing an address.
Checking your account…
One moment. Nothing has been deleted.
Confirm the account to delete
Deletion begins immediately and cannot be undone. A restricted copy is kept for 90 days for safety and legal reasons — see below.
No Kanvio account is linked to that sign-in
Nothing was changed. Either this account has already been deleted, or it was created with the other sign-in provider — accounts made on an iPhone often use Apple, and Android accounts always use Google.
Your Kanvio account has been deleted
You're signed out, and removal of your data completes within 48 hours. There's nothing else for you to do — and nothing here to undo it with.
What deletion removes
Your account and everything on it stops being visible immediately, and is permanently destroyed within 48 hours. That includes:
- Your profile and handle
- All of your content, everywhere you placed it
- Your comments and likes
- Your challenge data
- Your Cloud Anchor identifiers
Comments other people left on your artwork are not destroyed. They stop being visible to everyone when your account goes, and nobody can read them in the app — but they remain their authors’ words, and their authors’ to delete.
Some anonymised, aggregated analytics may persist (for example, total view counts), but nothing identifying you remains in the live app. Deletion cannot be undone — there is no grace period, and no way for you or for us to restore the account or its content. The archive described below is not a backup and cannot be used to bring anything back.
What is kept, and for how long
For safety and legal reasons we keep a copy of the deleted account and its content in a separate, restricted archive for 90 days. It is not part of the app: it cannot be viewed, searched or restored, and nobody can browse it. It exists so that we can respond to a child-safety report, an abuse investigation or a lawful request from law enforcement that arrives shortly after an account disappears — which is exactly when evidence of harm tends to be destroyed.
After 90 days the archived copy is deleted too, a process that completes within about a week of that point. The one exception is a specific legal obligation — material reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, or a preservation request from law enforcement — where the law requires us to keep the relevant items until the matter is resolved.
One thing worth knowing about other people's deletions. A comment you leave on someone else's artwork belongs to that piece as well as to you. If they delete their account, their artwork and its whole comment thread — including your comment — are archived on the same terms above. Your own deletion does not affect that copy, because it was made when they deleted, not when you did.
See our Privacy Policy for the full detail, including the legal basis for this retention and your rights over it.
Why we can't delete an account from a message
Signing in is the only way we can confirm an account is yours. A message that names an account — by handle, by email, or by any other detail — isn't proof of ownership, and acting on one would mean anyone could erase a stranger's account and everything they ever made. So we don't, for anyone, ever.
If you're stuck, contact support and we'll help you get signed in. We can't delete the account on your behalf, but we can help you reach the point where you can.
